As you travel through the picturesque landscapes, take in the stunning views of rolling hills, lush greenery, and the majestic mountains that make this region so enchanting. Once you arrive in Gangtok, check in to your hotel and take some time to relax and refresh after your journey. The rest of the day is yours to explore at your leisure. In the evening, we recommend visiting the famous MG Road, the heart of Gangtok. Morning after breakfast, start your journey from Gangtok (approx. 70 km, 4–5 hours). En route, enjoy scenic views of the Teesta River and lush green landscapes. Stop at Seven Sisters Waterfall for photos and relaxation. Afternoon arrive in Dzongu and check into a local homestay. Experience warm Lepcha hospitality and enjoy a traditional lunch. Evening explore nearby villages like Hee-Gyathang. Visit the Hee-Gyathang Monastery or enjoy a peaceful walk along the Rongyung Chu River. Relish an organic dinner at your homestay and interact with locals to learn about Lepcha culture.

Morning after breakfast, start your exploration with a visit to Lingzya Waterfall, one of the most picturesque cascades in Dzongu. Proceed to Lingthem Village for panoramic views of the Kanchenjunga range. Visit the Lingthem Monastery for a serene spiritual experience. Afternoon Visit Tingvong Village, the cultural heart of Dzongu. Engage in a guided village walk to understand Lepcha traditions and lifestyles. Morning after breakfast at Dzongu start your day with a hearty breakfast at your homestay. En Route Highlights Mangan a small town known as the “Gateway to North Sikkim.” Stop for refreshments or a quick stroll through the local market. Singhik Viewpoint offers stunning views of the Kanchenjunga range and lush valleys. A perfect spot for photography. Seven Sisters Waterfall. A cascading waterfall ideal for a short break. Take photos or simply enjoy the serene ambiance. Chungthang a picturesque town located at the confluence of the Lachen and Lachung Rivers. Stop for lunch and explore the local monasteries. Afternoon arrival in Lachen check-In and arrive in Lachen by mid-afternoon and check into your hotel or homestay. Relax and take a rest after the drive, soaking in the peaceful atmosphere of the village. Evening in Lachen you are free to take a leisurely walk around the village to experience its serene charm. Excursion to Gurudongmar Lake & Transfer to Lachung Early Morning Start: 4:00 AM Begin your day early for an adventurous excursion to Gurudongmar Lake, one of the highest and most sacred lakes in the world, nestled at an altitude of 17,800 ft. The journey offers stunning landscapes and an unparalleled Himalayan experience. Breakfast at Thangu (13,500 ft): Stop at Thangu, a small alpine village surrounded by snow-clad peaks, for a hearty breakfast. This charming hamlet serves as a key stop before proceeding to higher altitudes. Excursion to Gurudongmar Lake: Drive through the Kanchenjunga National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage site, home to pristine wilderness, breathtaking views, and unique flora and fauna. Gurudongmar Lake Highlights: The azure lake, surrounded by snow-capped peaks, is revered by both Buddhists and Sikhs. Despite being frozen in winter, the lake has a portion that remains unfrozen, adding to its mystical allure. Take some time to admire the beauty, capture photographs, and soak in the tranquility of this sacred spot. Optional Excursion: Kala Patthar (Additional Cost) If weather and army permits allow, you can visit Kala Patthar, known for its rugged terrain, panoramic views of the mountains, and a surreal snow-covered landscape. The excursion to Kala Patthar involves an additional cost, directly payable to the driver. Return to Lachen & Transfer to Lachung: Post-visit, return to Lachen and enjoy lunch before beginning the drive to Lachung, another picturesque Himalayan village situated at an altitude of 8,610 ft. En-Route Attractions: Chungthang (Confluence of Lachen Chu & Lachung Chu): Witness the merging of two rivers, Lachen Chu and Lachung Chu, forming the Teesta River. This serene spot offers a glimpse into the natural beauty of North Sikkim. Bhim Nala Waterfall: Also known as the "Amitabh Bachchan Waterfall", this is one of the tallest waterfalls in Sikkim. The cascading water surrounded by lush greenery is an ideal spot for photographs and relaxation. Holy Rock at Chungthang: A revered religious site believed to have been blessed by Guru Padmasambhava. It holds cultural and spiritual significance for the locals. Arrival at Lachung: Check-in at your hotel: Settle in and relax after a day filled with exploration. Dinner & Overnight Stay: Enjoy a delicious dinner featuring local flavors, followed by a restful night in Lachung. Additional Notes: Altitude Precautions: As Gurudongmar Lake is at a high altitude, ensure you stay hydrated and avoid overexertion. Consult your guide or driver regarding precautions for altitude sickness. Clothing: Carry heavy woolens, gloves, and sturdy footwear as the temperature near Gurudongmar Lake can be extremely cold. Kala Patthar Details: Permits for Kala Patthar are subject to approval by the Indian Army and weather conditions. Charges for this excursion are to be paid directly to the driver.

Begin your day with a delicious breakfast at the hotel and prepare for a mesmerizing journey to Yumthang Valley, famously known as the "Valley of Flowers." Excursion to Yumthang Valley (11,800 ft). Valley Highlights Yumthang is a serene valley adorned with a vibrant carpet of wildflowers during the blooming season (April to June). Rhododendrons, primulas, and other alpine blooms transform the valley into a painter’s palette. In winter, the valley is blanketed in snow, offering a completely different, magical charm. The valley is also a grazing ground for yaks in the summer and is steeped in local folklore, including tales of the elusive Yeti. Spend time soaking in the tranquility of the valley, capturing its beauty, and breathing in the crisp Himalayan air. Visit to Yumthang Hot Springs on your way back, stop at the Hot Springs, which are believed to have medicinal properties due to their high sulfur content. A short walk through a scenic wooden bridge leads to the hot water pools. Enjoy a relaxing dip or simply admire the natural surroundings. Optional Excursion: Zero Point / Mount Katao (Need Additional Cost) Zero Point (15,300 ft). Located at the northernmost accessible point in Sikkim, this spot is a wonderland of snow and glaciers. The panoramic views of the Himalayas here are truly breathtaking. Note: This excursion is subject to weather conditions and army permits. Mount Katao another stunning destination, known for its snow-covered terrain and picturesque landscapes. Ideal for those who want to experience pristine Himalayan beauty. Permits and additional costs apply. Return to Lachung head back to your resort for lunch and relax. Spend the evening at leisure, enjoying the serene surroundings of Lachung. Dinner & Overnight Stay at Lachung. End the day with a delightful dinner at your resort in Lachung, followed by a peaceful night’s rest. The journey from Lachung to Gangtok is a scenic drive that takes approximately 6–7 hours, covering a distance of around 120 km. After a hearty breakfast at your accommodation in Lachung, you’ll depart early in the morning, usually around 7:00–8:00 AM, to begin the journey. The route takes you through Chungthang and Mangan, where you can make quick stops to stretch your legs or grab refreshments if needed. The road winds through the picturesque valleys and dense forests of North Sikkim, offering glimpses of the majestic Himalayas along the way. Though there’s no sightseeing planned, the drive itself offers an opportunity to appreciate the beauty of the landscape, with occasional views of waterfalls and small villages. Arriving in Gangtok by mid-afternoon, you can check into your hotel and take time to relax after the long journey. Depending on your energy levels, you might want to take a leisurely stroll around the town or enjoy a peaceful evening. This direct transfer is designed for a comfortable and restful day of travel, allowing you to experience the scenic route while conserving energy for further exploration in Gangtok.
